I think I might just go overload the post with gifts that are just terrible period like what I did with DeMuros car post (except my suggestions for Doug were good, I just feel like trollolololing Gawker and Trotter).

I don't think that it's self serving. I'm joking around and making fun of someone that's making fun of us. It's just good old fashioned teasing. As for wasting space on oppo, they'll scroll past our posts and look at those.
Oppo more than anything is about having fun. Yeah there are the nice and really detailed stories and our community would be boring without them. However one of the great things about oppo is the ability to post stupid shit every once and a while.
However I think that it would be nice if instead of the top stories part of the website we could have just have the highest recommended car related stories. That way we could still post our stupid posts and then those people that worked hard on posts could still get their recogniton

I'll explain why it's self serving: You could've made this as a reply to one of the other posts discussing the subject. You would've gotten some recommendations and replies similar to here. Instead, you had to make a one lined, separate post to state that opinion, gaining perhaps a couple more views and replies.
I understand Oppo (trust me, I've been here long enough) and the fun of ribbing on things, it'd just be nice if everyone could keep that to one discussion rather than everyone feeling the need to have their own post about.

Related: Could there not have been an Introductions post today, where they'd all be gathered in one place, instead of muddying up the feed all day? Having to wade through all the junk to find the "real" stuff gets very annoying from time to time.

You have a point, I should've probably just posted it in with one of the other posts. But honestly I posted it up on oppo before I looked down the page. Next time I probably should post it on one of those. The only reason I was kind of brash with my initial reply was because you came off as pretentious. However you make a good point and even though calling my post self serving and a waste of space was hurtful and could of been phrased a lot better. However you make a valid point so I'm willing to admit that you're kind of right.

I think this is a issue with Oppo in general and my post wasn't entirely directed at you. I do apologize a bit for the way I said it. I'm not trying to alienate myself, just expressing a bit of frustration at the way this place works sometimes. No hard feelings, I hope.
